The Henri Poincaré Early-Career Researcher Fellowship, funded by the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur (OCA) and the Université Côte d'Azur IdEx JEDI, offers a two-year postdoctoral contract to early-career researchers who obtained their PhD and pursued their postdoctoral research outside OCA. The fellowship is intended to enable successful candidates to develop an independent research program in the broad field of Earth and Universe sciences. Application close November 16th, 2026.
Scientific excellence, the quality and relevance of the proposed research program, and its alignment with the scientific priorities of OCA are key criteria in the selection process.
Before submitting their application, candidates must identify a scientific host at OCA (www.oca.eu) who will support them during their fellowship. The host is responsible for submitting the application, providing a letter of support for both the candidate and the proposed research program, receiving the letters of recommendation, and obtaining approval from the director of the relevant research unit.
Candidates must have completed their PhD by the application deadline and must demonstrate their ability to conduct research independently. For reference, successful candidates in previous calls obtained their PhD on average three years before being awarded the fellowship.
Applications are evaluated by the Poincaré Committee, appointed by the Scientific Council of OCA.
This fellowship is open to all applicants, without discrimination. Where qualifications and experience are equal, priority will be given to candidates with disabilities.

Remuneration elements: 48k € gross annual + 5k € per year environment

Constitution of a single file in pdf format including:
- 1 CV of 2 pages including the most significant publications
- 1 summary of research activities of 2 pages maximum
- 1 research project of 3 pages
- 3 letters of recommendation
- the letter of support from the OCA sponsor
- the approval of the director of the host unit
