Postdoc position High-Energy Astrophysics PennState

The Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill one Postdoctoral Scholar position in high-energy astrophysics.

The successful candidate will study the high-energy emission from neutron star mergers, combining numerical relativity simulations and radiative process calculations in collaboration with David Radice and Kohta Murase. Additionally, there will be ample opportunity to collaborate with other members of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos, which includes, among others, Abhay Ashtekar, Eugenio Bianchi, Martin Bojowald, Chad Hanna, Sarah Shandera, and B.S. Sathyaprakash. This position requires a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field.
